Abstract

This paper explores the relationship between leadership and innovation in the context of human resource (HR) dynamics in the archipelago. Using a qualitative approach, this study identifies factors that influence the effectiveness of leadership in facilitating innovation in various industrial sectors. This study finds that inclusive and participatory leadership tends to foster a culture of innovation, while challenges in HR management often become obstacles. These findings are expected to provide insights for leaders and HR managers in designing more effective strategies to foster innovation in their organizations. In a regional context rich in cultural and resource diversity, this article also highlights the importance of understanding local social and economic dynamics in creating an environment that supports innovation. By considering local perspectives, leaders can better navigate existing challenges and optimize innovation potential in the archipelago. The results of this study are expected to be a reference for academics and practitioners in an effort to strengthen the synergy between leadership and innovation in facing the ever-growing global challenges.
